We shall now actually deface the web server’s web page, and pull off the hack as it were. Furthermore we will peek under the hood, and look at the packets to see just what transpired so that you might recognize it in the future.

A lot of folks seem to confuse the concepts of site security with secure servers. One would hope that a secure server (one that uses SSL to communicate) is also somewhat secure from intrusion. The truth is that there is that a secure server will run just fine on a server with little or no security (in the sense of intrusion prevention) on it!

SSL is the security technology everyone uses to be sure that their web connections are secure. But it does not provide the security that users believe?
