It recently came to my attention that Microsoft have a set of tools that will gather log files, event logs and any reports, logs or information needed for remotely troubleshooting server issues and save them in a CAB file.

If you spend quite a bit of time on 3rd line support, as I do, this tool is invaluable - in fact from now on it will be my first request when troubleshooting vanilla AD or server issues. The different CABs can generate information on the following:
