Altering an image with a Displacement Map
This tutorial shows how to use a displacement map to warp an image, and to cast light on the image in the right places, to make it look real. This process can be used to create ribbons, curtains, banners, or anything else that bends or waves. In this case, I've taken a diagram of the Australian flag, and turned it into a realistic-looking wavy flag.
